Born on July 31, 1943, in Reno, Ohio, he was the son of Delmer and Dolores Lane Addlesburger. Randy was a lifelong resident of the Marietta area, where he was a hardworking, dependable, and family-oriented man.

Randy had a distinguished 30-plus-year career at the Ohio Power Plant in Beverly, where he served as a respected Maintenance Supervisor responsible for the plant\’s complex power generation systems and equipment. His ingenuity earned recognition from American Electric Power for innovations, including developing a more efficient method of pulverizing coal. He took great pride in solving problems, improving efficiency, and helping ensure the plant operated safely and reliably around the clock.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers while stationed in Nuremberg, Germany, and remained a longtime member and supporter of American Legion Post 750 in Lowell, Ohio.

He never minced words and was known for his candid observations about people and life, but those who knew him understood that behind his honesty was a generous heart and a willingness to help whenever he was needed.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Frieda Ostheimer Addlesburger; his son, Steven (Misty) Addlesburger of Flowery Branch, Georgia; his stepsons, James (Sara) Allen of Marietta, and John (Dolores) Allen; his grandchildren Ansley, Meghan, Danielle, Taylor, and Olivia; his step-grandchildren Lana, Thomas, Jasmine, and Alexander.
