Thomas William Hurte, 95 of Marietta, Ohio, passed away at Elison Assisted Living on July 16, 2026. Born November 16, 1930, in Paint Lick Kentucky to the late Chester Arthur and Grace Goodrich Hurte. Tom is the father of William (Vicki) Hurte of Marietta Ohio, and Anthony (Bertha) Hurte of New Matamoras Ohio. Grandpa to Jessica (Ryan) Newhart, Ben (Amanda) Hurte, and Andrew Hurte. Great Grandpa to Adalyn, Ava, Claire, and Everly Newhart, and Cora L. Hurte. In addition, Tom is survived by his sister Marianne Hurte and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Hurte; brothers: Robert and Chester; sisters: Pearl Swoger, Cassie Hatfield, Viginia Hammons, and Phyllis Stevens. Tom was a graduate of Paint Lick High School in Paint Lick Kentucky, a United States Air Force Veteran, a member of the Newport United Methodist Church, and member of the American Legion. He was a 65-year member of Matamoras #0374 Grand Lodge of Ohio. Aladdin Shriners International, Lions Club, and McDonalds Breakfast Group Volunteer RSVP. Tom Retired from Consolidated Aluminum in Hanibal Ohio. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday July 22, 2026, at 5:30 P.M., at Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV with Brian Smith officiating. A Masonic Ceremony will be held at 5:00 P.M. Friends may call from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the Masonic and Funeral Services. Intermittent will be at Newport Cemetery.
