Betty Jane Gillon, 89, of Marietta, OH, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born August 22, 1937, in Butler, PA, to the late Kennard Dale and Annie Laurie Stock Fuller. Betty worked as a Registered Nurse at Marietta Memorial Hospital and had the face of an angel to those she took care of. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Betty was a member of The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption. She is survived by her children, Richard “Rick” Gillon (Crusita) of Melbourne, FL., Carol Antill (Greg) and Gary Gillon both of Marietta, OH, grandchildren, Rusty Antill (Meagan), Kyle Antill (Kayla), Tyler Antill (Laura), Monique Gilbert (Joe) and Adam Gillon (Rachel), great grandchildren Morgan, Mason, Clayton, Mason D. Maddox, Chloe, Kenadee, Ellen and Charlotte Antill, Gabby and Miles Gilbert, Aiden and Noah Gillon and a brother John Fuller (Peggy). In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard U. Gillon and sister-in-laws Genevieve Young (Jim) and Nancy Moyer (Jim). Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption with The Very Rev. Edward Maxfield Jr. and The Rev. Dale Tornes celebrating, burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday, August 28, 2026 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH. The family would like to thank Dr. Kelli Cawley and her staff and the entire staff at comfort care at Marietta Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion.
