Frankie Lane Tacy, 91, was born in Huttonsville, West Virginia on July 6, 1935 to Walter Clarence Tacy and Eulah Dorothy Simmons Tacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Gatewood Dorothy Carr; his brother, Billie Clarence Tacy; and his son-in-law, James Miracle.
He is survived by his wife, Gisela Irmtraud Maria Schulz Tacy; his daughters, Dorothy Anna Lamont and Stacy, Christel Lane Bolden and Bruce, and Susan Rae Miracle; his son, Frank Derrick Tacy and Whitney; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Frankie graduated from Tygart Valley High School in Mill Creek, West Virginia in 1953. He served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1957. From 1957 to 1959, he worked in television service and cable television in Elkins, West Virginia. From 1959 to 1963, he worked as a Bendix field engineering technical representative with the U.S. Air Force in Europe and North Africa. From 1963 to 1993, he served as General Manager of Ohio Valley Cable Corporation in West Virginia and Ohio. From 1993 to 2000, he owned and operated Tacy's Outdoor Supply.
Frankie was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Williamstown, the American Legion, the VFW, the Masonic Lodge in Marietta, the Scottish Rite (32õ), the York Rite Bodies, the Aladdin Shrine, the Marietta Shrine Club, and R.O.J. Court 156 in Parkersburg.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Williamstown, West Virginia at a later date. Donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Williamstown.
