Carolyn Jane Allen, 81, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville, Ohio. She was born on October 9, 1944, in Chesterhill, Ohio, daughter of George and Gertrude Grigsby Brown. Jane graduated from Chesterhill High School and had been a homemaker along with being a caregiver for others. She was a member of the Dungannon Church on the Ridge and had been in the Dungannon Quilting Club for 50 years. She was married on January 14, 1963, to John D. Allen who died on February 25, 2024. Jane is survived by three sons, Kirk Allen of Beverly, Jeff Allen (BJ) of Beverly and Kraig Allen (Lauren) of Belpre; a daughter, Jill Christie of Byesville; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, John Kris Allen.
Visitation for Jane will be held from 3-6 pm on Friday with a service to follow at 6 pm at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Chris Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Chesterhill Cemetery at a later date and on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
