Neil Richard Lane, 76, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Sunday (October 18, 2026) at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born Tuesday, June 13, 1950, in Marietta, to the late Eugene Harold and Hazel Cooper Lane. Neil loved his family and enjoyed spending his time farming and with family. He was also surrounded by his caregivers over the years that have become like family.
He is survived by his siblings, Robert (Sandra), Ted (Najet), Bruce (Kathy), Brent (Cindy) and Melissa Lane; many nieces and nephews Chad (Jeanie), Brad (Sherri), Carla, Nathan, Dr. Mark (Tia), Dr. Jason (Shu) Lane and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Harold Lane (6/12/1984) and mother Hazel Louise Cooper Lane Garrett (9/22/2013).
Services will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, (October. 24, 2026) at Bethel Lighthouse Church (5570 Warren Chapel Road, Marietta, Ohio 45750) with Kevin Gutberlet officiating. Burial will follow in Tunnel Cemetery. Visitation will be immediately preceding the service from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm. Flower donations can be delivered to the church on Saturday morning or donations could also be made in Neil's honor to Warren's FFA program or The Gideons International.
