Ruth Ann “Annie” Kelly, 88, of Palatka, passed from this life on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at her home following a lengthy illness. Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, she resided in Palatka for 20 years coming from Madison, Ohio. Annie worked many years as a department supervisor at James Kenrob textile Company in Mentor, Ohio and later for 14 years as a shift supervisor in the City of Cleveland, Ohio Public Schools food services division. Upon moving to Florida in the late 1980's, she briefly owned her own business in the Palatka Mall called “Sew & Sew.” She was a Lutheran. In her leisure time, Annie enjoyed her vegetable gardening and flowers.
Annie is survived by her sister, Jean (Marty) Johnson of Rock Creek, OH, brother, Bill (Cathy) Young of Tampa, daughter, Lori (Larry) Messer of Palatka, a son, Douglas (Teresa) Kelly of Alexandria, VA, 4 grandchildren, Sydney Kelly, Ryan Kelly, Larry Messer, III (Corey) and Lucas Messer, 8 great-grandchildren as well as several foster children.
