I have known Mark Warden since high school.
I was impressed way back then with his leadership abilities when we were teammates on the wrestling team. Mark has always been a level headed individual.
I believe his record as a dedicated servant to our community via the Washington County Sheriff's Office speaks volumes to his character and leadership abilities. He has worked his way up and knows the ins and outs of the Sheriff's Office from top to bottom.
Mark has instituted several programs with the office, the most notable being the active shooter drills he has brought to our county schools. This program helps prepare our youth and schools in the event that our area would become another statistic in this country.
A career in law enforcement and being dedicated to one agency for the entirety of his career gives Mark Warden a very unique perspective that can't be matched when it comes to experience. I believe Mark Warden will always be fair and honest with his deputies, as well as the public.
Knowing Mark, I also feel that he will aspire to make improvements to the department and demand excellence from all of the employees of the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Mark Warden has never been a pass the buck kind of guy. He is willing to listen to the views of citizens and will take the time to explain things and help.
There are several upcoming Town Hall Meetings where Mark Warden will be speaking. I would ask voters to go to: Lowell VFD from 2-4 p.m. Jan. 21st, K of C Hall in Marietta from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 23rd, Belpre Elementary School from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 25th, Barlow Fairground from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 6th, or again at the K of C Hall in Marietta from 6-8 p.m. on Feb. 8th. Please go and listen and ask questions. I believe that you will find you agree with me that Mark Warden is the best choice for Washington County Sheriff, and I urge voters to cast their ballot for him in the upcoming primary.
