We are so excited to be back with our Spagna's Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser this Sunday, March 20, 5-7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m. This is the first of three fundraisers coming your way and we are asking for your support.
Judge Williams will be celebrating his birthday with us as he shares 200 Village Cakery cupcakes with our patrons. You don't want to miss out on Kevin Witby's family recipe for sauce and meatballs, salad, garlic bread and all the fixings! All you can eat for just $13!!! I might also mention that you will be waited on by The Right Path and Boys Scouts from Troop #207!! Come join us, we have missed you.
February was a month of planning as The Right Path gears up for our 19th summer. Grant writing and searching grants have consumed me the past two months, as we know we want to continue our mini-farmer's markets.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to host 4 markets in New Matamoras, Marietta, Belpre and Beverly. It is the best community piece we have hosted in our tenure as it connects families and youth around food, a beautiful thing to watch and be involved in. Ralph Waldo Emerson summed it up best; "It is one of the most beautiful compensations in life... that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."
When kids taste fresh fruit, many for the first time, they are so excited and grateful. This is something so many of us take for granted. Our food pantries work to ensure their shelves are full, but they need help to achieve this, month after month. We share any fruits and vegetables remaining with the pantries in the respective market area.
We are gearing up for pool parties, markets and other special events with our signature fundraisers after a two-year COVID hiatus. Judge Williams will be hosting our DJ again this summer at every pool party so I know you won't want to miss them!
More details will follow on our 10th annual shopping cart race, The Righditarod, April 2 at Belpre Kroger. We have some special challenges for our racers this year and everything raised and collected will be shared with our Food Pantry Partners!!
We will be back at the VFW for our all-you-can-eat fish fry May 13. This is a Friday and your lucky day.
