It’s the guns, stupid!

The United States alone has a problem with mass shootings and gun violence because we have made easy access to guns a national priority.

It does not matter that the gun of choice for mass shootings is made for war. And it does not matter that we have different laws in different states because the result is the same.

More children are now killed by guns than die of any other cause. The latest school shooting victims had to be identified by DNA.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with you" does nothing to comfort those parents whose children have been slaughtered and whose caskets have to be closed.

Razing the school where it happened is another useless gesture.

The Republicans want to shift the blame from guns to the mental health of the shooter or how to figure out who the next shooter will be.

The United States does not have more mental illness than other nations. It's the guns, stupid!

So here we go again, and again and again.

Please consider putting Democrats in office that agree with most Americans that we need more laws restricting the proliferation of guns.

Democrats will work for a woman's "right to choose" in every state making abortion rare but legal and will also ensure that women have access to contraception.

Democrats and Republicans alike agreed that our last presidential election was the most secure and yet some Republicans have been busy installing voter suppression laws in many states.

Joe Biden is our president, not Donald Trump, and he is doing a good job despite Republican opposition and roadblocks.

We can be a great country again, but it will take wise heads, not stupid ones.
