Lies about Medicare need to stop spreading

2 min read

Dear Editor,

It seems that someone has way too much money to be able to send flyers to the households of residents in West Virginia with absolute lies concerning Medicare.

Imagine the cost of running all the TV ads! I am not sure who the brain child and supporters are but I do know that "60 Plus American Association of Senior Citizens" does not represent me, my husband and most of the people I know who are over 60.

I would think that Senator Manchin would not like the ads, either. If Senator Manchin wants to protect West Virginia seniors, he will vote with President Joe Biden to protect our Medicare and make it more effective for us by negotiating the price of prescription drugs.

This is living proof in color that we are in deceptive times and need to express our concerns and show our citizen power at the ballot box. We need representatives and senators in Charleston and Washington who will work for us and not the pharmaceutical and insurance companies.

If these people have all this money to spread lies, why don't they feed the children and pay for the drugs for the senior citizens? As a member of AARP I've written a letter to Senator Manchin and asked him help pass a plan that lowers prescription drug prices.
