October 29, the Marietta Police Department and The Right Path for Washington County held Medication Take Back Day in the Walmart parking lot, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event is held twice a year; April and October, and is an excellent opportunity to clean out your medicine cabinet, disposing of unused, unwanted or expired medications.

By disposing of these medicines you help reduce the risk of medications being stolen, sold illegally. In addition, children and/or pets could be poisoned if they find and swallow drugs and our water supply or soil could be contaminated if medication is flushed down the toilet or drain.

Thanks to the Marietta PD a record 215 pounds of medication was collected. See you in April 2023. On behalf of The Right Path.
