By Val Hoover 2 min read

Looking into a rear-view, will hype for legalized marijuana (cannabis) and even fentanyl (which can be fatal even from exposure) follow the path of tobacco?

After all smoke filled room looked so enticing let alone skillful blowing of smoke rings, as evidenced in the movies in silver screen. Will today's cries for drug proliferation, with greater access to drug purchases on social media. Our children are at risk!

Drugs of choice today include not only Marijuana, but also Fentanyl. It is deadly. Fentanyl is pouring into U.S.A. at alarming speed through our porous borders both to the South as well as to the North.

Stepping back to cigarettes. The Magazines, Radio, TV ads and billboards filled with Jingles and rhymes to get everyone to smoke. As it is with Marijuana and Fentanyl as well as other mind altering, substances are on internet all enticing to buy and try. Please, Medical Marijuana can be obtained by legitimate Doctor's prescription. For relaxation, why not try a sport, take walk, or talk with someone. Do remember cigarettes were for relaxation as well. Now we know what they do to our lungs as well as other body parts. Smoking is not permitted in many areas. Most of the harm that was done by smoking is done to the smoker of course there is residual second hand smoke, bad breath, and discolored teeth.

When dealing with drugs, they do alter your thinking. It may cause inappropriate behavior that puts other people in a harm's way. Unfortunately, there are people in this world who relish in inflicting harm to others at the same time making money, or perceived impotence. It is not only individuals but Nations.

Make a choice do no harm to others nor yourself. The Hippocratic Oath followed by Doctors, which comes from Greek philosopher Hippocrates, "Do No Harm". No harm will come to you.
