Unnecessary killings

By Val Hoover 1 min read

Here we go again regarding death and misfortune, in the beautiful city of Baltimore Maryland. This time two people were killed and three or more in critical condition. It seems to me unnecessary happening. If there were consequences for such uncalled for actions, this incident may not have taken place. The perpetrators may have thought twice before embarking an on such activities

On April 4, 2022, I wrote to Marietta Times about 2015 attack on law enforcement officers by a group of youngsters. The incident was totally unprovoked. A number of Police officers were injured. Fortunately, no one was killed. Still a CVS drug store was burned to the ground along with number of small local businesses. If the perpetrators of mayhem, had been made responsible for their action, perhaps, the "Summer of Love" may not have happened and all the lootings, beatings and killings to this day, may have been reduced.

Talking heads, on media daily are stating that there is a need for consequences. Yes, there is a definite need for accountability for ones' actions. If bad acts are committed, they deserve punishment. If good is done, that also needs to be recognized.
