Vaping indoors sends the wrong message
The shopping season is upon us and many enjoy shopping locally to support businesses and families that live in our communities. As we mingle with the crowds in local shops, coffee houses, restaurants, and bars please take note that there are still people vaping in these indoor settings. Did you know that since 2021 vaping is considered the same thing as smoking and is illegal at public indoor spaces in Ohio? This law was put into effect to protect those most vulnerable around us from the dangers of secondhand vape. Secondhand vape poses the same health dangers as vaping itself and exposes those nearby to high levels of benzene, ultrafine particles, and nicotine. Frankly, vaping indoors sends the wrong message because we learned long ago from indoor smoking… it’s just not safe or healthy. I hope this message resonates with you and you pass it along to friends and family members during this festive season.
