Marietta Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #12 endorse Nohe for Sheriff
As the election nears for the 2024 Republican candidate for Sheriff of Washington County, the public has a critical decision that affects the lives of our brave first responders and you. The members of the Marietta Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #12 have chosen to endorse candidate Ronald Greg Nohe for Sheriff of Washington County.
We, as members, do not take this endorsement lightly. The membership reviewed the candidate’s previous contributions to law enforcement and ideas moving forward as a candidate for Sheriff of Washington County. He was previously employed for the majority of his career at the Marietta Police Department before retiring and taking up further employment as the Corrections Administrator for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. This candidate’s resume and concepts for change create an expectation of excellence for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Before his retirement from the Marietta Police Department, Ronald Greg Nohe worked to create a safer environment for officers and the community. Nohe was instrumental as a union negotiator in placing language into a contract with the City of Marietta that set a minimum number of officers that the City of Marietta would have patrolling at a given time. This language made the job safer for officers and the streets safer for the public. Acknowledging that the county was in the middle of a drug epidemic in the early 2000’s Nohe was instrumental in the establishment and success of the Major Crimes Task Force.
Please join us in supporting Ronald Greg Nohe for the next Sheriff of Washington County.
