Washington County is going to have a new Sheriff in 2025. I am wholeheartedly backing Mark Warden to the new sheriff in town. His experience, maturity, and demeanor will ensure that the office addresses the needs of our county's citizens in the face of challenging times in the law enforcement community. His 37 years in the Sheriff's Office from the Dispatcher to the Chief's Deputy's position have prepared him for the challenge. He is responsive, capable, embraces diversity and has stayed at the cutting edge of his profession.
