Support Mark Warden

By Brad Webb 3 min read

To the Citizens of Washington County,

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Mark Warden in the upcoming election for the position of Washington County Sheriff. Having closely observed Mark's unwavering commitment to community safety, the public, community service, leadership, experience, and dedication to the deputies and citizens of Washington County, I am confident in Mark's ability to lead with integrity and dedication.

In my role as Vice President of a local company and leadership in multiple Veterans organizations, I've had the privilege of witnessing exemplary leadership and integrity which are characteristics that I seek, if a person tells you they are a good leader, take pause. Good leaders don't tell you, they show you without ever saying a word by their actions and Mark Warden embodies these qualities.

His commitment extends beyond the professional realm, evident in his support for veterans -- a cause close to my heart as a Gulf War Veteran and dedicated Veterans Advocate. Mark's involvement in training presentations for all types of business, youth, and veterans' events reflects his deep sense of duty and devotion to service, leadership, and the protection of county citizens.

I have seen Mark's presentations on Active Shooters and Drug Awareness at different types of events serving the business community and the veterans community. The response from my peers in both the business and veterans' community was eye opening. Mark takes these programs very personally and believes it is his duty to educate the community and the youth of our County to help them make informed decisions and what the repercussions are if you make the wrong decision.

I believe the Washington County Sheriff Office is one of the best in the state of Ohio, a testament to the professionalism and respect exhibited by our deputies and staff to the citizens of Washington County that they serve. These men and women are asked to put themselves in some of the human races worst actions. They do not flinch; they just get the job done. This is a direct result of the leadership, support, and confidence placed in every deputy to perform the toughest of tasks. Mark has played a pivotal role in fostering this positive atmosphere throughout his career.

Mark's vision for the Sheriff's Office goes beyond the ordinary. His resume and experience, combined with an innovative approach of "thinking outside the box," sets him apart from his opponent. Mark understands the value of collaboration with other sheriff offices, law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, social agencies, government entities, and beyond to leverage shared experiences to enhance the mental, emotional, and physical preparedness of our deputies.

Mark believes in community engagement, envisioning a Sheriff's Office that seeks input directly from the people it serves.

Monthly meetings in local areas will provide a platform for communities to voice concerns, give praise, or provide feedback in real time.

Please join me in supporting Mark Warden as we look toward continuing a safer, secure, productive future for Washington County. Mark Warden will not quit on the Washington County Sheriff Office employees or the Citizens of Washington County.
