The Kiwanis Club of Marietta thanks the community for supporting the 68th Annual Pancake Days held February 2-3 at our new location this year, the Elizabeth Sugden Broughton Community Building.
Pancake Days is the club's largest fundraiser and all the proceeds go back into our community. We are pleased we reached our goal of between $20,000-25,000 profit this year. The Club members served over 2,000 people in just 1 ½ days.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
The club's purpose is to promote human and spiritual values, good citizenship, fellowship and altruistic service through voluntary action.
The Marietta Kiwanis Club supports services in the community, maintenance of Lookout Park, Terrific Kids at Washington School, picnic shelter by the Marietta College Boathouse, sponsorship of the Marietta and Waterford High School Key Clubs, the Marietta and Waterford Elementary School Builders Clubs, support of local food pantries, and Key Club Scholarships.
The club also takes part in bell-ringing for the Salvation Army and placement of historical markers throughout Marietta.
