The City of Marietta wishes to make a statement regarding the previous employment of City Engineer Robert Heady with the city of Marietta.

“The City’s former City Engineer, Bob Heady, has been working with the City to finalize his departure from employment. Through that process, the City has accepted Mr. Heady’s voluntary resignation. As such, the City and Mayor Josh Schlicher wish to issue a retraction of those statements and quotations set forth in the Marietta Times article published on March 12, 2024, entitled ‘City Engineer Bob Heady No Longer with Marietta.’ The City apologizes to Mr. Heady for its unnecessary haste in making those statements prior to finalizing its employment conversations with Mr. Heady.”
