The Zonta Club of the MOV would like to thank the community for their outstanding support of our recent bi-annual clothing sale the Unique Boutique. This sale has been happening in Marietta for approximately 40 years or more. This is one of our biggest fundraisers and all the proceeds benefit our service projects. Mainly our scholarship program at Washington State College of Ohio. These scholarships are given out in April to non-traditional female students who are looking to further their education and make a better life for themselves and their families. We also work to raise awareness for the need of female hygiene products, underwear, bras and deodorant in the area with our Delicates for Dignity Project. This program offers assistance to women and young girls who are unable to afford these items. We distribute these items to schools and various agencies in the area. We also award the Betty Hadler Woman of the Year Award.

This award is given to an outstanding woman in Washington and Wood Counties whose exceptional dedicated volunteer service to the community has enhanced the lives of others.

Thanks to all our loyal individual supporters who continue to give donations to our sale every year. We truly could not have this sale without the community donations and shoppers. We would also like to thank these supporters and volunteers: Marietta Township Community Center, WMOA, WTAP, Marietta Times, McCarthy Real Estate, Advantage Real Estate and all of our outside volunteers who helped haul our equipment and hang clothes with us all week.

All the remaining clothing this year went to the following groups: Marion County FFA, Marietta High School, Coats for Kids, Washington County Homeless Project, Church of Christ African Project, Soles for Souls, Trading Post Thrift store and Latrobe Street Mission.

The success of this event would not be possible without the continued support of all the Zonta members, their families and friends. This year we made $4100 on the sale. Our next sale will be April 4-5, 2025. Look for announcements and updates on our Facebook page about donation drop off times.
