Rulli Town Hall
Many of us in Ohio’s 6th Congressional District have reached out to Congressman Michael Rulli to voice our concerns about his unwavering support for Donald Trump’s policies, including executive orders that threaten our rights and freedoms. In response, we have received nothing but form letters–generic, dismissive, and failing to address the real issues we raised, including the recent devastating layoffs in neighboring Parkersburg, W.Va.
This is not representation. True leadership requires engagement, accountability, and a willingness to listen to the people. Yet Congressman Rulli has not held a single town hall in Marietta or anywhere else in our district. Instead, he hides behind pre-written statements, repeating the same talking points while ignoring the voices of the constituents he was elected to serve.
We, the undersigned, demand that Congressman Rulli hold a public town hall in Marietta, Ohio. We deserve the opportunity to ask him directly about his support for Donald Trump’s executive orders, his stance on issues impacting working families, and his commitment (or lack thereof) to representing all of us–not just the most extreme factions of his party.
If Congressman Rulli truly believes in The Constitution, our country’s democracy, and the power of the people, he should have no problem standing before us and answering our questions. We call on him to schedule a town hall immediately and prove that he is not just another politician more interested in party loyalty than in serving his district.
Sincerely,
