For those of you who voted for Donald Trump, do you realize he is not accomplishing what he said he would? Concern for inflation was high in 2024 as we went to the polls. The economists are warning us that the tariffs being imposed will increase inflation, sending it soaring again, as well as destroying our relationships with our allies.

Now we have abandoned our allies of the last 70 years, treating them with suspicion while Russia seems to be the only country that is trusted by Trump. Putin is not our ally. Do you personally trust him?

As for domestic affairs, do you trust Elon Musk? Should he and his staff, who were neither elected or vetted, have the power to dismiss thousands and thousands of American workers with little regard to the consequences?

Start paying closer attention to the unprecedented actions taking place in Washington D.C. They may now seem remote but will have far lasting effects that are hard to envision at this time.

We need to be vigilant! Democracy relies on our participation and not being subservient to authoritative power.
