Thank you to those of Marietta and Parkersburg

On behalf of the BJFM (Blues, Jazz and Folk Music) Society Board, the board’s officers would like to thank many in the greater communities of Marietta and Parkersburg for yet another successful River City Blues Festival, our 32nd. There are so many to thank that we hope that we don’t leave anyone out. First off, thank you to ALL the staff, including Launa Holden Morus, of the Lafayette Hotel, our venue who made the audience, musicians, and our board always feel so welcome. We greatly appreciate all the performers who appeared on our stage, sharing their talents and enjoyment of playing for our audience. Many thanks to Vinnie Mele of Roadie Rental who provided such professional service with the backline, sound and lighting. We also thank Microtel Inn and Suites, particularly manager David Bricker, for always working with us to provide additional rooms for the musicians and audience. The local area sponsors who were listed in our festival program are all greatly appreciated for their support this past year. Dean’s Screens provided us with quality festival T-shirts this year, designed by local artist Bonie Bolen. Local media was especially supportive this year, including Gwen Sour and Wayne Towner of the Parkersburg News and Sentinel and the Marietta Times, Megan Marshall and other staff at WTAP, and Emily Votaw who interviewed some of the artists for WOUB Public Media. Again this year, we had an outstanding group of volunteers who contributed their time to make the festival such a success! Finally, our entire BJFM Society Board wants to thank all the audience members who came from near and far, many who have attended year after year, but some for the first time. Without the support and interest of all, we could not have the continued success of bringing live blues music to the Mid-Ohio Valley!

Starting at $2.99/week.
