The Future of Washington County

I write this with concern for the future of Washington County. The Board of County Commissioners is a very important consideration for the voters of Washington County that is approaching soon, May 5th (with early voting starting April 7th).

The Board of Commissioners are the ones that appropriate (spend) the tax dollars paid by the residents. These monies are for the betterment of the county. County employees depend on a paycheck, safety and security by the Sheriff’s Department need to be provided, social services are needed for those less fortunate, and economic development needs to be provided, just to name a few. All of the residents need to feel that they can trust who is in charge of the checkbook of the county.

I have known Stephanie Lang since I was in High School. She has always been a true and honest person. That has not changed to this day. She has raised a great family, has worked 35 years in the medical profession as a Radiological Technician for 35 years, served on Fort Frye’s school board for 12 years (right beside my father), and now looks to continue to serve the County.

The Board of Commissioners need to have a balance of different views. This entails agreements and disagreements. This creates discussion, fact finding, and a well thought out decision with the dollars that are entrusted to the Board of Commissioners. That person is Stephanie Lang.

Stephanie is a friend, a good Christian, a good mother, and only wants what is best for Washington County. For the reasons that I have spelled out I fully endorse her as the next Commissioner for Washington County. Please vote for the best person for the job!
