The Washington County Board of Election is around the back of 204 Davis Ave., Marietta. There is plenty of parking if you drive yourself or others drive you to early vote.

If you need a ride, the Community Action Bus Line is available Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.. To request a ride, you need to call 740-373-7671. They recommend at least 24 hours in advance to request pick up and to schedule a ride home. The ride is $1 each way in the city of Marietta and $2 outside the city limits anywhere in Washington County. Half fares are available for riders over 65 and those with a disability. There is a fund to help pay for transportation if you would like help.

This bus service is available to every corner of Washington County. Just to name a few, New Matamoras, Beverly, Belpre, Lower Salem, Lowell, Watertown, Barlow, Macksburg, Stockport, Warren and everywhere in between.

Another way to get to the Board of Election to early vote is by calling the Democratic Head Quarters at 740-371-5105. If no one answers, leave a message on the answering machine and someone will call you back and schedule a time to take you.

Early voting is the safest, surest way to vote and have your voice heard.
