The 47th annual Turkey Trot set for Thanksgiving

PARKERSBURG — The 47th annual Turkey Trot is set for a 9 a.m. sharp start time on Thanksgiving morning at Parkersburg’s City Park.
Runners and walkers are invited to come out for a 3-mile, out and back, start and finish inside of the park.
Early entry fee, if received by Nov. 20, is $20 and $25 per person afterward.
Runners and walkers can pick up their T-shirt from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and from 7-8:45 a.m. on Thanksgiving.
Sponsored by the River City Runners & Walkers Club, the first female and the first male to cross the finish line will receive a dressed turkey.

All registered participants will be eligible for door prizes, which will be posted at the finish line.
There’s a limit of one door prize per family while supplies last and they can be picked up at the recreation building.
