Hoops roundup: Reese Lang hits half-court shot at buzzer to give Waterford OT win vs. Federal Hocking

STEWART — Reese Lang’s half-court heave in overtime banked in at the buzzer to give Waterford a thrilling 51-48 win Wednesday.

The Wildcats (4-8) led 13-12 after one but trailed 22-20 at halftime. Waterford regained the lead by the end of three, 30-28, but the Lancers (4-10) rallied to force overtime.

Tied at 48-all, Waterford was set to inbound the ball needing to go the length of the court with 2.6 seconds remaining. Lang got the ball, dribbled twice and chucked up a shot two steps behind the half-court line to send the Wildcats home happy.
