MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia University track and field team competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic over the weekend.

Williamstown High School graduate Alyssa Sauro led the Mountaineers with a third-place finish in the invitational 5,000 meters, crossing in 16:20.18. Tecla Lokrale followed in seventh (16:28.19), while Chiara Judis placed 12th (16:36.54).

In the 1,500 meters, Mary Delaney paced WVU in the invitational section with a 14th-place finish in 4:28.90. Aislinn Frazer placed 32nd (4:34.04), while Eva Rinker finished 71st (4:42.04). Audrey Hall competed in the unseeded section, placing 41st in 4:51.05.

In the field events, Eva Craigie recorded a fifth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.71 meters.

Mae Nelson led WVU in the 400 meters with a 24th-place finish in 58.46, while Sierra Heisey placed 55th in the 100 meters (12.88).
