BASEBALL

*Carter Fluty hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Parkersburg South a 7-6 win over Athens. CJ McCartney pitched a scoreless top of the seventh with two strikeouts to earn the mound win.

SOFTBALL

*Zoey Smithberger allowed two runs over six innings pitched in Waterford’s 2-1 loss to Trimble. Smithberger also plated the only Wildcats’ run.

*Maddison Lambert pitched a complete game, doubled and drove in two runs in St. Marys’ 7-4 win over Williamstown. Alyssa Windland doubled and plated four runs for the Blue Devils. Nevaeh Moore doubled and had three RBIs for the Yellowjackets.

*Gracie Adams pitched a complete game with four strikeouts in Warren’s 7-6, eight-inning win over John Marshall.
