Frontier student-athletes earn scholarships
NEW MATAMORAS — For the 15th year in a row the Frontier Alumni Association 1969-1990 awarded two seniors at Frontier High School scholarships. The scholarship amount has recently increased from $500 a year to $1,000 a year.
Jeff Beaver, president of the association and a 1976 alumnus, awarded the scholarships at the 22nd annual Frontier High School senior awards program. Said program was held in the Frontier High School cafetorium on Sunday, May 17, 2026. This year congratulations
go to recipients Aaden Bills and Hunter Taylor. Thank you to all the seniors that applied for the alumni scholarship.
Aaden is the son of Michael & Jami Kahlig of Dart, Ohio and Aaron & Niki Bills of Senecaville, Ohio. Aaden applied to and was accepted by Mid East Career Technology Center in Zanesville, Ohio. He will attend their power line technologies program. His goal is to receive a powerline technology certificate. His dream is to become a lineman.
Hunter is the son of Todd & Stephanie Taylor of Newport, Ohio. Hunter applied to and was accepted by Washington State College of Ohio. He will attend their electrical engineering technician program. His goal is to receive an associate of science and electrical engineer technician certificate. His dream is to become a biomedical engineering technician. His ultimate goal is to become the head of biomedical technology at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
