Rauch helps Zips win MAC track title

MUNCIE, Ind. – For the fifth time in program history, and first since 2019, the University of Akron track and field team captured the men’s and women’s outdoor Mid-American Conference Championships, outdistancing the field on Saturday.
The Akron men’s squad won the men’s title with 212 points, which was 63.50 points ahead of second place Eastern Michigan.
The Zips claimed the women’s crown with 135.50 points, 22 points in front of rival Kent State.
Warren graduate Amanda Rauch, a freshman for the Zips, placed third in the women’s pole vault after clearing 3.97 meters to help contribute to the Akron cause.
