Evans spent 12 years in a variety of roles at Belpre City Schools. She taught middle school language arts for five years before becoming the assistant principal for the next seven years. Evans coached Belpre’s varsity volleyball team for four years and varsity softball team for 12 years (two as assistant, 10 as head coach) and spent her last eight years at the district as Belpre’s athletic administrator. Evans then took a position in the Federal Hocking Local School District, where she resides and is in her fifth year as the district's director of athletics.
