LANCASTER -- Warren's inspiring postseason run came to a close Wednesday with a 3-0 loss to Bexley in the Division III regional semifinals.
Jet Leland found the back of the net in the 18th minute, the first goal allowed by the Warriors in the tournament. Leland later scored again nine minutes into the second half, and Luke Helon scored off a corner kick with four minutes to go for the Lions, who improved to 13-6-2.
Bexley will face Watterson on Sunday in the regional final, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
Warren, which knocked off Athens, Gallia Academy and Fairfield Union on the way to winning the D3 Southeast District title, finished the season with a 10-8-3 record.
