FY27 NRAC meeting Oct. 8
The Fiscal Year 2027 (Round 21) committee meeting of the Natural Resources Assistance Council will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 8, at Buckeye Hills Regional Council, 2585 Glendale Road, Marietta, to review the Fiscal Year 2027 (Round 21) Clean Ohio applications for eligibility. Rummage sale Oct. 9-10
St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 320 2nd St., Marietta, will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 9 and 10, inside the parish hall.
Turkey supper Oct. 17
Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Turkey Supper at 4 p.m. Oct. 17, at 1975 Stanleyville Road, Whipple. A meal for adults is $12 and $6 for children and includes turkey or ham supper with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coffee or tea and a choice of dessert.
Style show, salad supper Oct. 20
The Pioneer Ladies Civitan will hold the Dorothy Peppel Style Show and Salad Supper at 6 p.m. Oct. 20, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 308 Franklin St., Marietta. Doors open at 5 p.m., with admission being $15 per person. The event is sponsored by Peoples Insurance with fashions by Threadz Boutique and the Purse Auction by Williams Auctioneer. Door prizes will be drawn all night.
GriefShare continues through Nov. 12
The GriefShare program will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. through Nov. 12, with a special program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19 called "Surviving the Holidays". This 13-week program will be offered at Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta. Each week, you will view a 30-minute video filled with helpful guidance, discuss grief-related issues, and gain personal recovery tips through your workbook. YMCA hosts dance lessons
The YMCA of Marietta will hold Western Dance Lessons from 7-9 p.m. every Tuesday; and waltz, rhumba, jive, cha cha, foxtrot and two-step from 2:30-4:30 p.m. every Sunday. Lessons are free of charge. Call for more info at 740-374-7030.
