Right Path summer family swim nights

The Right Path Summer Family Swim Nights will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 16, 23 and 30, July 7, 14, 21 and 28, and Aug. 4 and 11. The block party will be from 6 to 11 p.m. Aug. 18 at the Marietta Aquatic Center. The events are sponsored by The Right Path for Washington County, promoting healthy youth development.

Family & Children First Council meets

Washington County Family & Children First Council's next meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Family & Children First office, 202 Davis Ave.

Cash for College info session June 26

Washington State Community College, in partnership with Washington-Morgan Community Action and Washington County Job and Family Services, will host an informative financial aid event, Cash for College, at 6 p.m. June 26. The event is open to everyone, regardless where they plan to attend college. It will showcase the wide variety of federal, state and local resources that are available to help pay for college and other educational expenses. MOVP presents 'Sarah' at its theater

The Mid-Ohio Valley Players will present "Sarah, Plain and Tall" at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and at 8 p.m. June 23 and 24. There will be a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday. The production is sponsored by WesBanco. Pre-sale tickets are available at Marty's Printing and the Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitor's Bureau. Ticket prices are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $7 for youths age 16 and under.

Twin Rivers Baptist VBS June 19

"Operation Arctic" is the theme for this year's vacation Bible school at Twin Rivers Baptist Church, 110 D.A.V. Road, Whipple. Sessions will be held from 6:15 to 9 p.m. June 19 to 23, at the church.

During the VBS sessions youngsters from 3-years-old through the sixth grade will be exploring the Bible. Activities will include lessons, snacks, crafts and games. On the final night of VBS there will be a carnival at the end of the night with games, food and prizes. There is no cost for the carnival.
