¯ A deputy responded to meet with Elmer Wenzel, of 17977 State Route 26, Reno, who had sustained a dog bite while trying to break up a fight with his dogs on Monday. This case is closed.

¯ A deputy responded to Adams Township on Tuesday in reference to a domestic disturbance. After speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ On Tuesday, a deputy began an investigation regarding a missing firearm from a residence. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Tuesday regarding a scam for currency. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Tuesday, deputies went to 183 Fourth St., Lowell, in an attempt to locate Amanda A. Wallace, 23, of 11121 Veto Road, Marietta, due to multiple warrants for her arrest. They stopped a van leaving the residence. A woman later found to be Wallace gave a false name and birthdate. She was charged with obstructing official business.

¯Cindy A. Biss, of 8711 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, reported Wednesday that items were stolen from her mailbox. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Wednesday into a subject having a credit card used without permission. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation Wednesday into a scam through a checking account. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy was dispatched to the Lowell Dollar General, 10200 State Route 60, Lowell, on Wednesday in reference to a theft incident. A witness reported a male subject had stolen clothing from a rack outside of the Dollar General. Video surveillance confirmed David L. Slagle, 36, of 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, in the driver’s seat of a vehicle before the vehicle left the lot and he later admitted to taking the items. Slagle returned five pairs of pants. He was placed under arrest for theft and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. A citation for driving under suspension was also issued to Slagle.

¯ On Tuesday, a deputy, along with the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department, responded to 12910 State Route 550, Barlow, in reference to Jared Estes reporting his garage on fire. No foul play is suspected.

¯ The dog warden received a call Wednesday in reference to a loose dog belonging to Emily Boyd of 215 Bellavista Drive, Marietta, going onto a neighbor’s property. Once on the neighbor’s property, Boyd’s dog attacked the neighbor’s dog, this being the second time the dog had gotten loose and attacked the dog. Prior to the dog warden’s arrival, Boyd retrieved her dog and restrained it back on her property. She advised the dog had pushed the door open escaping the residence and admitted that this was the second time her dog had gotten loose and attacked the neighbor’s dog. The dog warden has requested a summons be issued to Emily Boyd, 28, of 215 Bellavista Drive, Marietta, for failing to restrain her dog.

¯ A deputy began an investigation at 75 Sandhill Road, Marietta, on Wednesday, where storage buildings were entered. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy began an investigation on Thursday in reference to a domestic dispute. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ Darrell Brisker, of 107 Wilson Ave., Marietta reported Friday that his detached garage had been entered sometime during the night. The only items missing were a Stihl MS 170 chainsaw in an orange hard case and a Bostitch finish nailer in a black hard case. A neighborhood canvas was completed and a Stihl MS 170 chainsaw in a hard case was located sitting in front of storage unit 194 at Smith Rentals facility on Ellsworth Avenue. Brisker was shown the chainsaw and he positively identified it as the one taken from his garage. Through a separate investigation, a detective had spoken with Steven K. Fordyce, who then admitted to entering the garage and taking the chainsaw and finish nailer. Steven K. Fordyce, 27, of 67 White Oak Lane, Mineral Wells, W.Va., was placed under arrest and charged with burglary and theft.

¯ George A. Lattea, Jr., of 125 Dean St., Marietta, for a temporary restraining order.

¯ Christopher Lucas, of 845 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, for failure to appear.

¯ Shannon S. Hines, of 1220 Brackenridge Road, Vincent, for failure to appear. Original charge was breaking and entering.

¯ Ross L. Phillips, of 331 Main St., Lower Salem, for failure to appear. Original charge was breach of recognizance.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Zachary Todd Lindemood, 25, of 106 Maple Ave., Woodsfield, was arrested Wednesday for trafficking in drugs and drugs possession, both felonies.

¯ Damon Shawn Gandee, 22, of 339 Maple Drive, Mineral Wells, W.Va., was arrested Wednesday for two counts of trafficking in drugs, both felonies.

¯ David Lee Slagle, Jr., 36, of 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, was arrested Wednesday for theft.

¯ Patrick Ryan Marte, 32, of 1010 Poplar St., Belpre, was arrested Thursday for criminal trespass and litter public/private property, both misdemeanors.

¯ Angela Jo Lusk, 34, of 5061 Holbrook Road, West Union, was arrested Thursday for complicity, theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Steven Tony Lusk, 39, of 5061 Holbrook Road, West Union, was arrested Thursday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Brian Lee Miller, 52, of 212 Maple St., Marietta, was arrested Thursday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Christopher Amos White, 41, of 230 High St., Conneaut Lake, Pa., was arrested Friday for OVI, left of center, and no seat belt, all misdemeanors.
