¯ Marietta High School reported a student being disruptive in class on Feb. 20, cursing and being disorderly. The student was suspended out of school and picked up by a parent. The school requested an investigation.

¯ An employee of Tractor Supply reported a shoplifting on Feb. 20. A man took items and fled.

¯ On Feb. 20, officers responded to the report of multiple shots fired behind Best Western Plus, 701 Pike St. Gregory E. Forsch, last known address 29250 State Route 7, was found with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound and had died from his injuries.

¯ Officers were dispatched to 433 Second St. on Feb. 20 for a report of an unresponsive male in the men’s restroom. It was learned that Cameron J. Cowan had overdosed on heroin. He was revived by the Marietta Fire Department with two doses of Narcan. A summons was requested for possesion of drug abuse instruments.

¯ Perry and Associates, 313 Second St., reported Feb. 21 that computers at the business were hacked.

¯ On Feb. 21, an officer was dispatched to Washington Elementary School, 401 Washington St., in reference to a disturbance. Prior to arrival, the officer learned that Mark Farley, of 645 Long Road, had left the school with his juvenile granddaughter and was possibly intoxicated. The officer located Farley’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Farley was arrested for OVI and endangering children.

¯ An officer was dispatched to McDonald’s, 500 Pike St., on Feb. 21 in reference to a disturbance. Teresa L. Otte, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., said she had picked up her son, Matthew Prebeg, of Myrtle Beach, in Charleston, W.Va. and was bringing him to Marietta to meet with his father. She said he was being belligerent, was high on drugs and attempted to get out of the vehicle as they were driving through traffic. Once in the parking lot, he began throwing items from the vehicle and was then pushing and hitting his mother. Prebeg was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifting on Feb. 21. Zachary Barnett, homeless, was arrested for theft and for an outstanding warrant.

¯ An officer was dispatched Thursday to the Hampton Inn, 508 Pike St., for a report of a bloody man lying in the parking lot. He was found with a wound over his left eye, scratches on his chin and other minor abrasions on his face. He had no wallet, car keys or room key. He was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital where he advised officers that he sleep walks, although he had also been drinking.

¯ On Thursday, a woman reported that her estranged husband at 1421 Lancaster St., Apt. 101I was armed and suicidal and refusing to let their children go to school. He had also sent a text threatening to shoot anyone who came to the door. Members of the Marietta Police Department and Major Crimes Task Force set up a perimeter and took him into custody when he came out for a pizza delivery. He was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital on a mental health holder and then transferred to another facility in the state. It was later learned that the children had not been held hostage but were staying with him in order to help him.

¯ Walmart reported a shoplifting on Thursday. Kali S. Taylor, of 812 Wood B, Parkersburg, was arrested for theft.

¯ Laura K. Conner, of 127 Groves Ave., reported stolen medication on Thursday.

¯ On Friday, an officer responded to 104 Grandview Ave., Apt. 1 to assist the Marietta Fire Department. A man was lying on the floor and had apparently had an overdose. He was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

¯ Mathew Walk, of 1103 19th St., Parkersburg, reported Friday that a license plate was stolen from the rear of a vehicle while in the parking lot of the Bob Evans restaurant.

¯ On Friday, officers were dispatched to assist in a pursuit by the Williamstown Police Department, which had crossed into Marietta while attempting to conduct a traffic stop. The driver, Jeremy T. Carver, of 106 Nolan Circle, stopped the vehicle in the 700 block of Greene Street. He had one passenger, a 4-year-old child, in the back seat. Carver’s blood alcohol content tested at 0.173 percent. He was cited for OVI and endangering children.

¯ An officer was dispatched to 311 Cisler Lane, Marietta, on Saturday in reference to an overdose. The Marietta Fire Department had already administered Narcan to the man, who eventually regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital.

¯ Officers were dispatched to 116 Theis Ave., on Saturday in reference to an overdose. Iesha R. McFadden was revived with Narcan and transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital. She will be summonsed for possession of drug paraphernalia.

¯ Shane D. Thomas, of 830 Ridge St., reported Saturday a stolen Ford F150 truck.

¯ Officers responded to 709 Phillips St. on Saturday in reference to an overdose. The woman was taken to Marietta Memorial Hospital. There was also a man and a child in the home. Children Services was called to the scene and the child was placed in the custody of a family member. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Walmart reported a theft on Saturday. David S. Burns, of 26691 Huckleberry Road, Coolville, was arrested for theft.

¯ Walmart reported a shoplifter on Saturday. Sherry Fulton, of 10735 State Route 550, Vincent, was arrested for theft and criminal trespass.

¯ An officer made a traffic stop for a headlight violation in the 400 block of Washington Street on Sunday. The driver and passengers said they had been in Belpre for the same offense and received drug-related charges. Justin Hines gave the officer a false name but his identify was able to be verified. He was arrested on a warrant for probation violation and for obstruction of justice.

¯ Officers were dispatched Monday to Speedway, 100 N. Seventh St., in reference to a possible assault. This case remains under investigation.

Reports/Washington County

¯ A deputy responded to Dollar General in Barlow on Sunday for a report of a subject shoplifting a bottle of perfume. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Sunday, Justin Hines was brought to the Washington County Jail on a charge of obstructing official business and probation violation. Hines was asked by corrections staff if he had anything illegal in his possession. Hines advised he did not and during the pat down a small bag with a green leafy substance was found concealed in his waistband. Charges of illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility were filed on Justin Brian Hines, 21, homeless.

¯ Deputies, along with the Warren Volunteer Fire Department Squad, responded to an unresponsive male subject on Monday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Monday, a deputy began an investigation regarding a forged signature. This case remains under investigation.

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Fawn Renee Miller, 40, of 126 Euclid Place, Marietta, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of driving under suspension, improper lane usage and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

¯ Jason Lee Hart, 35, of 709 Thomas Lane, Belpre, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court.

¯ Matthew William Prebeg, 35, of 3895 Vintage Circle, Myrtle Beach, S.C., was arrested for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Decoda Zane Keys, 23, of 21 Stoney Run Road, Beverly, was arrested for using weapons while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

¯ Justin Tyler Gibbs, 26, of 515 Smith St., Marietta, was arrested on a warrant for driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving under suspension and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, all misdemeanors.

¯ Zachary Barnett, 31, of 865 Dodd Run Road, Marietta, was arrested for theft, and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

¯ Brandon Keith Ray, 30, of 8570 State Route 37, Malta, was arrested for probation violation, a felony.

¯ Juan Manuel Salazar, 21, of 122 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 1, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence, a felony.

¯ Courtney Sue McMillan, 28, of 8460 Waterford Road, Waterford, was arrested on warrants for driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, driving while under the influence of alcohol, no operator’s license, using electronic wireless communication, all misdemeanors, tampering with evidence, two counts possession of drugs, felonies.

¯ Marcus Maurice Kimbrough, 29, of 103 Woodcrest Lane, Marietta, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court, a misdemeanor.

¯ Cody Tyler Wiesman, 23, of 307 Barnett Ridge Road, Belpre, was arrested for having physical control of vehicle.

¯ Heather Lynn Reynolds, 30, Belpre, was arrested for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

¯ Ryan Eugene Paxton, 31, of 171 Sand Ridge Road, Waterford, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

¯ Robin Jerome Richards, 30, of 29385 E. Belpre Pike Road, Coolville, was arrested on a warrant for contempt, failure to appear, a misdemeanor.

¯ Roger Lee Ward, Jr., 39, of 1225 Weppler Road, Lowell, was arrested for parole violation, two counts, both felonies.

¯ Justin Brian Hines, 21, homeless, was arrested for probation violation, obstructing official business, both misdemeanors, and illegal conveyance into a detention facility, a felony.

¯Jason Lee Bartimus, 42, of 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, was arrested on a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor.
