Sidewalk improvements in Williamstown
Crews continued to work Thursday on improvements to the sidewalk at the intersection of Third Street and Highland Avenue in Williamstown. The project covers approximately 600 feet of sidewalk and updates existing pedestrian infrastructure to increase safety, according to Dave Burris, West Virginia Department of Highways Traffic Engineer for District 3. The Department of Highways project included new curbing and sidewalk as well as new pedestrian crossing signals and lights. The project has run largely at night so as to not to disrupt heavy mid-day traffic and should finish up sometime this month.
