Both northbound lanes on Interstate 77 from exits 6 to 16 were closed around 3 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation. The closure is due to road heaving from extreme heat, said ODOT public information officer Ashley Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse said crews are working and the roadway is expected to be open sometime this evening.
