A Marietta woman died late Wednesday after a two-vehicle traffic crash on Ohio 821 in Muskingum Township.
Elizabeth Tucker, 31, of 248 Pennsylvania Ave., was killed in the head-on collision.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at approximately 9:03 p.m., Tucker was traveling southbound in a Kia Spectra on Ohio 821 near DAV Road when she veered left of center and struck a northbound Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma was driven by William Schneeberger, 64, of 1317 Duck Creek Road, Whipple. Schneeberger received no injuries in the crash, but Tucker was transported to Marietta Memorial Hospital where she succumbed to her wounds.
Neither party was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
