The Warren Local Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Warren Administrative Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct business relating to the Ohio School Facilities construction project.
The Marietta City Schools Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Friday at 111 Academy Drive in the Board of Education office. The purpose of the meeting is to hire administrators for the next school year and to update the administrative salary schedule.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s will hold a corporate teams kickoff event, sponsored by Perry and Associates, to encourage local businesses to learn more about the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Perry and Associates offices, 313 Second St. in Marietta. Food and beverages will be provided. Beginning this Friday, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Washington County will offer NAMI Connection, a free peer support group for adults living with mental illness. The first Friday session will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and the second Friday session will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The groups will meet at the First Presbyterian Church in Marietta in the second floor library.

The Marietta Children’s Choir Summer Music Camp is open to Mid-Ohio Valley area youth entering fourth grade through eighth grade and will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 17-21. Vocal and instrumental instruction will be provided, including ukulele and Orff instruments. The camp will take place at Marietta College Hermann Fine Arts Center, second floor, 500 Butler Street. Cost is $50 for one child or $75 for two siblings. Email mttacchoir@gmail.com for a registration form. The registration deadline is June 15.
