Marietta student awarded Ohio Soybean Council Foundation scholarship

WORTHINGTON– The Ohio Soybean Council Foundation (OSCF) is pleased to announce that David Merckle has been awarded a $2,500 Ohio Soybean Council Foundation Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year. Merckle is pursuing a PhD in translational biomedical science at Ohio University. Merckle’s research focuses on the development of a soy-based degradable shape memory polymer that mimics adipose tissue and promotes tissue regeneration and can be used for void filling in patients who have had significant tissue loss. The 2024 Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction will be held on Saturday, April 13 at the Washington County Jr. Fair Building. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the Silent Auction.
