Ohio State Highway Patrol
• Heather N. McKibben, 26, 1265 E Ohio 78, McConnelsville, driving a 2020 Ford Edge, was traveling westbound on Ohio 37 in Malta Nov. 9 in a roundabout when Kelsey R. Adkins, 23, 2795 E Ohio 60, McConnelsville, driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was traveling southbound on Ohio 669 approaching the roundabout. Adkins failed to yield at the yield sign and struck McKibben, then both units moved to a private lot. Neither had any apparent injuries, and Adkins was charged with not obeying the right of way rule.
• Phillip J. Hall, 44, 1223 Smith Hill Road, Marietta, driving a 2021 Nissan Frontier, was traveling northbound on Ohio 26 in Lawrence Township Nov. 12 when he traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a mailbox and tree. Hall had suspected minor injuries and was taken by the Little Muskingum Fire Department EMS to Marietta Memorial Hospital and was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• Alexis F. Wells, 25, 14983 Ohio 26, Reno, driving a 2019 Chevy Trax, was traveling northbound on Washington County 47 in Newport Township Nov. 14 when she went off the left side of the roadway and struck a ditch. She had no apparent injuries and was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• Cohen M. Rippeto, 18, 190 Timberline Drive, Vincent, driving a 2014 Honda CR-V owned by Trish Rippeto, same address; Jonathan W. Higgins, 33, 7140 Selby Road, Lot 16, Athens, driving a 2018 Cargo Van owned by DME National, 9940 State Route 550, Vincent; and Marguerite M. Harris, 18, 2079 Barth Road, Belpre, driving a 2015 Ford Focus owned by Ronald Harris, same address, were all traveling westbound on Ohio 550 in Barlow Township November 14 when Higgins and Harris were stopped in traffic. Rippeto failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead and struck Higgins. After the impact, Higgins’ vehicle was forced into Harris. Harris had no apparent injuries, while Rippeto and Higgins both had possible injuries but were not transported. Rippeto was charged with failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
• Ashton J. Dugan, 19, 1046 Laird Ave., Parkersburg, driving a 2009 Ford Fusion, was traveling southbound on County Road 446 in Warren Township Nov. 15 when Dugan went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail end. Dugan had no apparent injuries and was charged with operating a vehicle without being in reasonable control.
• Desira N. Stiers, 34, 3599 Johnson Ridge Road, Stockport, driving a 2015 Toyota Rav 4 owned by Jordan D. Stiers, same address, was traveling southbound on Washington County 4 in Watertown Township Nov. 17 when she was negotiating a right curve and went off the right side of the roadway. Stiers then went off the left side of the roadway and struck an embankment. She had no injuries, and no charges were listed.
