The Historic Tour of Homes presented by The Castle to take place this weekend

The Historic Tour of Homes presented by The Castle will take place Saturday and Sunday.
Eleven homes are on the tour and highlight historic Marietta and the first established settlement of the Northwest Territory.
Homes on Saturday will be different from homes on Sunday. Six homes, including The Castle Museum, will be featured on Saturday and five on Sunday.
Ticket holders can visit as many or as few of the homes as they wish. Many of the homes are within walking distance of each other.
Tours begin at 10 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. each day. Single-day tickets can be purchased on The Castle’s website or at The Castle’s Carriage House for $30 and will include all houses featured on the day selected, either Saturday or Sunday.

All homes on the two-day tour will be available with a Weekend Pass for $50.
Tickets can not be purchased at any of the homes on the tour. The Castle advises purchasing tickets in advance.

The Castle, built in 1855, offers tours, educational opportunities and programs. Tours are available starting in April and many history-related events throughout the year. Offerings include local historical mock trials, food history, archaeology, summer camps, school and scout education, cemetery tours, teas and luncheons, wedding and facility rental, among others.
