Anna Dean, center, receives a $500 check for winning the grand prize of the 71st annual Cookbook Contest which is held by The Parkersburg News and Sentinel/The Marietta Times. Dean submitted an apple bundt cake recipe for the Baked Goods Battle category. The contest was held Oct. 22 with first place winners of each category announced the day after the contest took place.
