PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation and Regional Affiliates announced support for nonprofit organizations and charitable projects within the region through its Fall 2025 grant process.

This fall, the foundation awarded $417,871 to support 49 community-based projects that address needs throughout its 11-county service area.

The Fall 2025 grant cycle drew interest from organizations seeking support to improve health, education, human services, arts, community development and youth programs across the Mid-Ohio Valley. The awards were celebrated during the foundation’s Fall Awards Ceremony, held at the Vasan Family Center for Philanthropy on Wednesday.

The PACF received 62 applications, requesting a total of $726,818. The $417,871 in support awarded included $9,510 from the Doddridge County Community Foundation, $6,100 from the Ritchie County Community Foundation and $6,000 from the Little Kanawha Area Community Foundation affiliates.

The foundation, established in 1963, awards grants from its PACF Grantmaking funds and through a variety of charitable funds created by local individuals, businesses and organizations.

“We are deeply grateful to the individuals and organizations with donor-advised funds who collaborated with us to consider Community Action Grant applications,” said PACF Executive Director Fred Rader. “Their support, along with their intentional decision to direct resources toward local causes, strengthens our community’s nonprofits. Donor advisors contributed $237,709 during the Fall 2025 grant cycle. Because of their investment, we can respond more effectively to community needs and expand the resources available to area nonprofits working to build a brighter future for the Mid-Ohio Valley.”
