Spring Unique Boutique
The Zonta Club of the MOV will hold its annual Spring Unique Boutique from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Reno Community Center, 260 Sandhill Road, Marietta. Donations of gently used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, shoes, coats, jewelry, purses, accessories and more will be accepted from April 6-9 from 4-8 p.m. at the Reno Community Center. Prior to those dates, clothing may be dropped off at Advantage Real Estate and McCarthy Real Estate during regular business hours. Saturday there will be a bag sale where you may stuff a 13-gallon trash bag with clothes for $10 per bag. Concessions will be available. Hike and hangout event
A community hike and hangout event will be from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the shelter and main parking area of the Broughton Nature Preserve, 615 Ohio 821, off Ohio 60, near Marietta. The event is open to the public and is free of charge. Hot foods and beverages will be served at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. around the campfire. Self-guided walking on asphalt paths, bicycling, hiking on various length marked trails, free disc golf lessons for beginners, a disc golf putting contest, a “Closest to the Basket” contest, door prizes and more will be available. Prizes were donated by Serenity Now Hair Salon of Marietta, Over the Moon Pizza and Pub in Marietta and ZENERGY Massage of Belpre. Blessing Birds Fundraiser
Blessing Birds is holding a fundraiser from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Marietta Elementary School, to raise funds to help in the community. Blessing Birds is a non-profit with 501c3 status. Blessing Birds assists with Book Fairs, Santa Shop, Sports Fees, etc. They also do random acts of kindness and help wherever help is needed. There will be a country store, raffle, 50/50 drawing, concessions and activities for the kids.
2026 Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction
The 2026 Washington County 4-H Endowment Dinner and Auction will be Saturday at the Washington County Jr. Fair Building. Tickets are $30, must be purchased in advance, and are limited to 300. A table of 8 can be reserved for $300. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the silent auction. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the live auction starting at 7:30 p.m. Dinner includes a choice of grilled NY strip steak or grilled chicken breast with apple sauce, a baked potato, coleslaw, green beans, roll, dessert and beverages. The dinner proceeds go towards 4-H trips, camps, and other learning experiences along with training for adult volunteers. All auction bid numbers will be distributed at the door the night of the event. Steak fry
Beverly Eagles will hold a steak fry at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. A meal is $15. Grilled chicken dinners will also be available. For carry-out, call 740-984-4733. Entertainment will be provided by Sons Of the Milkmen.
71st annual Waterford FFA Banquet
The 71st annual Waterford FFA Banquet will be at 6 p.m. April 15, at the Waterford High School Gymnasium. Make your reservations by April 3. Waterford FFA will also be accepting donations toward the banquet. Contributions made will be used for awards and scholarships, you may mail donations to P.O. Box 67, Waterford, OH 45786. Buckeye State Button Society Spring Show
The Buckeye State Button Society presents Hearts Full of Buttons from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 18 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 19, at the Carlisle Inn, Sugarcreek. Jigsaw puzzle event
First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fourth St., Marietta, will hold a jigsaw puzzle event from 2-5 p.m. April 19. You may choose one of four puzzles to work on. There is no charge but you are welcome to bring a snack to share. All ages are welcome to come and the church is handicap accessible. Enter through the church parking lot door.

Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta will hold a chicken pie dinner from 4:30-6 p.m. April 24. Dinner is $12 per person and includes chicken pie, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, green beans and dessert. You may dine in or carry out. You can order by calling the church at 740-373-6478 by April 19.

Earth Day Celebration
Marietta’s Earth Day Celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 25, at Armory Square. There will be crafts, activities and educational displays focused on the environment including the return of the raptors, native fish and river turtles. The event is free for all ages. Entertainment will be by High Schools that Rock.
Trash to Art and More Show
The Trash to Art and More Show will be April 26 at Armory Square. Find raw materials in the waste basket or recycling bin to make art. Your entry may be decorative, functional, artsy or all of the above. Prizes will be given. Bring entries to the Trash to Art Entry Table at Armory Square by 10 a.m. on April 26.

Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Mother’s Day Dinner at 11 a.m. May 10, at 1975 Stanleyville Road, Whipple. Admission is $12 and $6 for children. Dinner includes baked steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and dessert.
Marietta Township School Reunion
The Marietta Township School Reunion will be held at noon May 16, at the Marietta Township Community Building in Reno. The reunion includes former students and teachers of Reno, Sand Hill, Goose Run, Jennings Hill, Cornerville, Barker, Yankeeburg and Eight Mile Schools. Chicken, ham, coffee, tea and table service will be provided. Bring a covered dish to share as well as memorabilia of your school and community. 120th Waterford High School Alumni Banquet
The 120th Waterford High School Alumni Banquet will be held May 23, at Waterford High School. Tours of the school will begin at 4:30 p.m., seating begins at 5:45 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and must be bought by May 9. GriefShare Program
Gilman United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Avenue, in Marietta, will be offering a 13-week GriefShare program in the church’s Fellowship Hall, from 12-1:30 p.m. through May 7. At GriefShare you find a safe, comforting place where you can talk with others about your grief. You will find support, direction, and guidance on how to make it through. Zumba Classes
