Three promoted at Riverview
BELPRE — Three people at Riverview Credit Union have been promoted to senior officer positions at the credit union, President and CEO Doug Ankrom announced.
Scott A. Smith was promoted to the newly created position of senior vice president and chief experience officer. In this new role, he will oversee all aspects of the member experience, which includes management of all member-facing staff.
Smith also will assist with Riverview’s marketing and branching strategies and community outreach efforts.
Erica M. Dodge was promoted to senior vice president and chief lending officer. In this role, she is responsible for the development of credit union lending policies and procedures and management of the credit union’s lending compliance.
Laura D. Nelson was promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer. In this role, she is responsible for the management of Riverview’s accounting and operations areas, including its electronic banking services and human resources.
“Scott, Erica, and Laura have been in integral part of our growth and success in recent years,” Ankrom said. “Their dedication to serving our member-owners has resulted in increased lending, growth in new members, and expansion of our products and services. We are excited to see them each continue to contribute to fulfilling our vision of being the financial partner of choice for our members throughout their lives.”
Smith joined Riverview in 2019, with nearly 30 years in the financial services industry. He has served the Mid-Ohio Valley community in various service clubs and activities, including currently serving on the Ohio Valley Christian Youth Camp board.
Dodge joined Riverview in 2008 and has served in leadership roles, including Chief Lending Officer since in 2019. Under her leadership, Riverview’s annual loan production has increased from $8.4 million in 2014 to over $55 million in 2021.
Nelson joined Riverview in 2011 having served in leadership positions within the credit union’s operations, including Chief Operating Officer since 2019. She also serves as Riverview’s Bank Secrecy Act Officer.
Ankrom also announced the promotion of Eric R. Cooper and Ryan E. Garrison to the newly created position of Senior Member Solutions Officer. In their new roles, they will provide leadership in member services and assist with the supervision of day-to-day branch operations.
Cooper joined Riverview in February 2021 with over 20 years in the financial services industry. He has is active in the community, including currently supporting the Waterford Boy Scout Troop 222. Cooper works out of Riverview’s Marietta Office located at 39 Acme St.
Garrison joined Riverview in September 2021 with nearly seven years in the financial services industry. He is active in the local community, including currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Belpre Area Chamber of Commerce. Garrison works out of Riverview’s Belpre Office located at 403 Main St.
