Memorial Health System earns national recognition for promoting organ, eye and tissue donation

Marietta Memorial Hospital has earned national recognition for its efforts to increase organ, eye and tissue donor registrations through the 2024 DoNation Campaign, Memorial Health System announced.

The campaign challenges organizations to educate their staff, visitors and communities about the critical need for organ, eye and tissue donation, including offering opportunities to register as organ donors. Marietta Memorial Hospital earned Gold recognition for conducting awareness and registry activities between Oct. 1, 2023, and Sept. 30, 2024.

The campaign is a national initiative that unites the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration and the organ donation community with workplaces across the nation to spread the word about the importance of donation. Marietta Memorial Hospital worked with Lifeline of Ohio to leverage its outreach efforts.
